Alley Kat Art is a unique boutique art gallery and full service lampworking studio with 5 teaching torches for glass bead making. Artist-instructor, Kathy McClelland Cowan, is a professional artist working in glass, clay and metal for over 27 years.
Sign up for group or private classes. We occasionally do courses in PMC, Precious Metal Clay, silver fabrication jewelry, mosaic and fused glass, please call for schedule or to book a private class.
Lampworking classes are Mondays 10-12am, Tuesdays 3-5pm for $75, includes all materials, Wednesday nights is Open Studio on the Torch for experienced lampworkers 6-8pm $20 per hour torch rental. Private classes are $75 an hour. Torches are available for rent @ $20 an hour to experienced lampworkers, tools are also available to rent, you can purchase glass from us, please call to schedule a time.
Alley Kat Art is located at 4-1373C Kuhio Hwy in downtown Kapa'a town on the island of Kaua'i, Hawaii. You can find us down the one way alley off Kukui St and Kuhio Hwy behind Island Hemp and Cotton across the alley from the Dragon Building on Huluili St.
Our hours are odd artist's hours and sometimes we'll slip away to eat, but you can usually find us between 10am-5pm Mon-Sat. Look for our sandwich board on the sidewalk outside of Island Hemp and Cotton on Kuhio Hwy, then you'll know we are in. We are open for Saturday night art walk 5-9pm.
